We are entering Shoebox Season - Operation Christmas Child, that is! We have the privilege of packing a shoebox of gifts for a child in the world. This gift, that is freely given in Jesus’ Name, communicates the free gift of salvation given to us through God’s Son. This gift is not intended as a solution for meeting physical needs, but rather a strategy for the local church to meet the spiritual needs of children in their communities. The unexpected gift delights and sparks hope in the life of a child as they hear of Jesus’ gift of His love for them and a journey of discipleship that is also made available through our generosity.
You can pack one box, two, ten or fifty! If shopping is not your thing, click here and you can pack a shoebox online, or even gift a shoebox for someone else to build online (a gift for that person who has everything?!).
Shoeboxes need to be returned by November 13th. You can pick up supplies and ask questions at the table in the lobby.
There is an additional opportunity to help with this wonderful project. It is a great way to participate in something bigger. You can help pack the shoeboxes into the cartons for loading on the semi so they can be taken to the distribution centers. This happens the week before Thanksgiving. Click here to sign up.
